I ended up in the HVAC field almost by accident. My grandpa, Harry Brixey, owned the local lumber yard in Mtn. Grove. When I was in high school, I decided to enroll in the carpentry class at the Mtn. Grove vo-tech. However, I ended up in Dean Postlewait’s HVAC class because the carpentry class was already full. After graduation I went to work at Mountain Grove Electric.
In 1987, my wife Brenda, and I decided to start our own business. Shannon Heating & Cooling first opened its doors in 1987 at 304 North Main in Mtn. Grove. In 1988 we moved to our present location west of town on Hwy 60. Since then, the service center has undergone a couple of remodels and additions. The 7200 square foot building houses a full sheet metal shop with plasma table, parts and equipment storage, office space, and break room.
Our team has grown to include full time techs and installers with a fleet of nine trucks, as well as a sales consultant, office manager, and marketing director. Throughout the years we have received many awards, but the greatest reward is a satisfied customer. Many of you have become friends through the years. We are grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in us!
